voy
Tape version of Sun Star from CRL. I'm in the process of dumping of many other games and programs from the collection of Gepard/Lamers^Dial. Sun Star (1986)(CRL)(GB)(en).rar
Neo-Rio
Another C+VG type in: Air Attack http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-air-attack_16991.html A poor man's "Air/Sea Battle", without the air bit. At the end of the game you are asked Y/N for another game. It doesn't seem to work and just dumps you out to BASIC. I always double check my typing before sending off type-ins. A bug? www.atarimania.com
Thanks Neo-Rio, great to see the C+VG listings. I started adding undumped / missing magazine type-ins to the second post. More HCW, PCW, C+VG, Your Computer... stuff in the future For German stuff, also check this page: http://ataribasiclistings.mygamesonline.org/ -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com Edited June 13, 2016 by www.atarimania.com
Mclaneinc
Tape version of Sun Star from CRL. I'm in the process of dumping of many other games and programs from the collection of Gepard/Lamers^Dial. Just in case you use Altirra etc, remember this is a protected tape so make sure the CIO patch is OFF otherwise it won't work... @Voy, this collection you mention, big? Just had a hunt and saw you were a member, hope there's some juicy bits to dump.. And of course, thank you for dumping the tape... Neo-Rio
Another day, another type-in Uranium Core from C+VG http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-uranium-core_16754.html Sort of a weird collect them up game for a player using two paddles simultaneously.. where graphical glitches are a gameplay element. I dunno, WTF! The time and score also seem to scroll down the screen, but it looks like a bug. Not sure how to fix. Enjoy (?) voy
@Voy, this collection you mention, big? Just had a hunt and saw you were a member, hope there's some juicy bits to dump.. I received from him a big box with 114 tapes. Some of these titles don't even exist in the Atarimania database (for instance, Tank Commander released by Maynard International Ltd., which is re-release of Creative Sparks' edition) I also dumped a Fred from Zeppelin Games. This .CAS image works only with Atari800 3.1.0 with a8cas patch by Kr0tki. It has a short FSK block after third record (plus a long one at the end) and consists of a non-standard (131 bytes long) records with non-standard checksum. www.atarimania.com
It's under Commander by Top Ten Hits: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-commander_1152.html Is Tank Commander exactly the same as the original release? Did you also dump Submarine Commander on the other side? voy
Ah, ok. The second side of the tape does not have printing on it, so I thought that there is only a copy of side A. Here is a dump of Side B with Submarine Commander. I don't know if these both titles are identical to the original release... www.atarimania.com
What I want to know is whether the Thorn EMI / Creative Sparks and Top Ten Hits releases of both games are exactly the same or if you noticed differences in the loaders, title screens or anything else. -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com Edited June 14, 2016 by www.atarimania.com

Mclaneinc
I also dumped a Fred from Zeppelin Games. This .CAS image works only with Atari800 3.1.0 with a8cas patch by Kr0tki. It has a short FSK block after third record (plus a long one at the end) and consists of a non-standard (131 bytes long) records with non-standard checksum. Altirra users can also play this tape, set to 800B (won't work on XL, load gets cut short) and disable CIO Patch...You can speed the load up by holding down F1 with no problems, can't promise that's always the case regarding loading faster with F1 as only Avery or another Altirra expert can answer for sure. Kr0tki
Fred also works in Altirra in the XL/XE mode (remember to enable System->Cassette->Randomize Starting Position). It will also work in the next release of Atari800.

Mclaneinc
Tried a few times and it keeps crashing even with randomise and CIO patch off under XL, hits the last 10 min area and the tape tone changes greatly and throws back to Self Test. Ignore The randomise start was switching off at reset which I should have expected, after I made sure it was on it worked fine as you said Edited June 15, 2016 by Mclaneinc

www.atarimania.com
Thanks, we'll definitely add these but REALLY, REALLY need a comparison between the various editions / re-releases first. Neo-Rio
Managed to get a few dumps of Computer Acquire. I have sent the original WAVs and other dumps and goodies to Farb, so maybe Atarimania can add these. For everyone else, here's a CAS file. This seems to fully work. You can make the program play itself and then run the game at warp speed and it all seems good. Note that I could only get the game to work on 400/800 hardware in Altirra. There's some onscreen garbage if the cassette runs on a system with only 16K (this is normal as described in the manual) Once the game has loaded, just keep pressing Y to get through the HEX screens (I'm not sure what's going on here, but the manual mentions this as normal). When it says PLAY GAME?, press Y to start. If you say N to this, it will ask if you want to Y TO SAVE? and you seem to be able to save the game out to cassette! Have fun. Acquire is a good board game Perhaps some clever-clogs can make an XEX file that works on XL and XE systems. acquire.zip Edited July 2, 2016 by Neo-Rio
Neo-Rio
Just a correction with Acquire: It works OK on any Atari 8-bit... however the BASIC ROM should be switched off. (gets me every time!) Edited July 2, 2016 by Neo-Rio
