+atari2600land
If I go to the debugger in Stella and type in "breakif {_scan<#262}" it will automatically go back to the debugger, turn black and white and the scanline count will be 0. I tried this on Street Racer as well to make sure it wasn't just my game. Same thing happened. I'm using version 4.7.2. +SpiceWare
You're telling Stella to stop if the scan line is less than 262. 0, how many scanlines have been drawn when you start of a new frame, is less than 262.
+atari2600land
Ah, OK, that explains it, but why would it be if the scanline is 262, continue to be 262 if you press the Next Frame button? Wouldn't it reset to 0 then?
+SpiceWare
The Frame +1 doesn't mean "advance 262 scanlines", it means "run until the end of the frame". If you're on scanline 100 and click Frame +1 you'll only advance 162 scanlines and stop at 262 (assuming you're generating a steady 262 of course). If you're already at the end of the frame then it'll advance 262 scanlines.
