I had the Apple 2 computer version when I was kid, and played the crap out of that one. The Apple 2, like the 5200, had an analog joystick, so my experience with the game is almost entirely on analog sticks. I never had/used an analog joystick before I got my 5200 and never had a problem playing any game with the CX52. Yes they had issues with the contacts not working after a while and the rubber boot sometimes ripping, but I never really had an issue with the stick and playing any game. It was so much easier to play games for hours verses using the CX26 on the 2600. That controller used to make my hands cramp after a while. The 5200 controller never did that.
