How to use a VCR to get AV output on my 400

Well, there would still be some signal degradation but you could run the Atari 400 cable to an RCA-to-coax adapter, and then plug that into the VCR's RF-input.

Then run a set of RCA cables from the VCR to the TV.

A lot of VCRs have circuitry that cleans the signal up a bit.

Now if you have an Atari 800 you could instead just get a monitor port (DIN) to RCA cable.
