Umberto
I pulled it of the shelf, decided to put a 80 gig IDE drive in. On the desktop when I select Desktop info I get 2 bombs. I have replace the Ram, TOS chip, Power supply and even the floppy drive, all with known working parts but still get 2 bombs when I select desktop info??? Help
Zogging Hell
NV RAM reset maybe. Or as the problem started with the hard drive, could it not be that? Try pulling it out and seeing if it solves the problem (if you haven't already). If it's not a hardware problem with the drive, perhaps a sneaky auto program or desk accessory is running on the hard disk that you haven't noticed. STuck
Damn, I was going to suggest changing the TOS chips, but you've tried that. I guess the TOS chips weren't burned from the same dodgy image? What version of TOS are you using?
paul92706
This is not NVRAM problem, i would make sure you have Hard drive connected properly. Also try another harddrive that one might be no good.
011i
Hi, I have same problem on an ST with original TOS and with TOS 2.06 so I guess it is not a software issue. It happens even without HDD or Floppy. Did you solve the problem? Maybe it gives my an idea what could be my problem.

When the falcon was created, IDE had around a 500MB limit (before E-IDE) Wow old forum.. Tos 4.01 can do 32 1 gig partitions. Magic and Mint can do partitions up to 2 TBYTES
