Hi everybody. Today I bought this Atari console with games:

I post it here because I have a Question:

is this revision board something to be cherished? rev. 1 1977 . To me is nothing short of amazing! And It does work! It has the holes for the speaker also but alas no heavy sixer.

BUT anyway.... I have a trouble also: inserting the harmony cartridge: I mean I've tried lots of cartridges and all work fine, but the harmony does not fit in!!!

I think this is something experienced before by some other member of the forum... but still is strange.

So I just wanted to share this here.

Thanks for your time.

EDIT: almost forgot: the joysticks have this unusual (for me at least) end cable:

Any insight on this? thanks!

Nice set of games you got there as well.

Thanks!

anyway I found out removing the upper part of the console that the harmony cart would fit indeed.

So the problem is that the bezel and the entrance of the cart are slightly disaligned (maybe a millimeter or so).

this issue prevent the more thick plastic (?) of the harmony cart to slide in....

Looks like what you have may have been kluged together with spare parts. For example, a 1977 board in a light case, and the different cables on the joystick which probably were culled from a keyboard controller, for example, to repair it.

The library consists of most of my original library when I was a kid. Funny.

The top could be misaligned but it is not uncommon for sixers to have tight fit at the cart port especially with some later carts like red labels and my Stargate cart is really snug. There were huge variations in the later cart shells. I have seen some so thin they crumble in my hand and others moulded so thick I might be able to stand on them.

I have had several six switch units like this. On one, I carefully filed some plastic away on the edges of the slot nearest to the inside of the machine. The change was not noticeable unless you were looking hard but it let carts fit better.
