keepdreamin
The TTX controllers are kind of bottom of the barrel as far as aftermarket SNES controllers go. They do work though. This one's better: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01326JM3Y//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=atariage&linkId=c28eb39bcacb7b72c4682c1eb2e4951b This combo is most bestest: https://www.amazon.com/SFC30-Wireless-Bluetooth-Controller-Joystick/dp/B00Y0LUQFE//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=atariage&linkId=39fe57a7fedb47f2c10263a1ee358a58 https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Dualshock-Controller-Bluetooth-Wireless/dp/B01JU57ES6//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=atariage&linkId=78d3fa16ff4554a1a54b4ad5e2d71c11
Newsdee
The Buffalo SNES controller is great value and personally I find it better than the 8BitDo. But it's wired only.https://www.amazon.com/Buffalo-Classic-USB-Gamepad-PC/dp/B002B9XB0E/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=atariage&linkId=11a10d5f1a5669c40a9c5445f556e6d3The 8BitDo is still a great device, just in comparison the buttons are a less mushy than the original SNES controller. Both have a good DPad so safe choices.
NinjaWarrior
Does the Cirka Pad have a Mushy D-pad? I always test 3rd Party Controllers with Street Fighter II Turbo
0078265317
I have a pair of originals. One's start button does not work. So originals were not rock solid either.
keepdreamin
Does the Cirka Pad have a Mushy D-pad? No. From what I understand the Cirka controller is copied from the original SNES controller. The shoulder buttons have metal pins for hinges, there's more to the pcb support in the mold. That's the "premium" part. The TTX controllers are actually based on the later released SNES Jr. controller, which was of a budget design to go along with the new console. The shoulder buttons have plastic tabs for hinges, and there's less in the way of support for the pcb. The Buffalo SNES controller is great value and personally I find it better than the 8BitDo. But it's wired only. https://www.amazon.com/Buffalo-Classic-USB-Gamepad-PC/dp/B002B9XB0E/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=atariage&linkId=11a10d5f1a5669c40a9c5445f556e6d3 The 8BitDo is still a great device, just in comparison the buttons are a less mushy than the original SNES controller. Both have a good DPad so safe choices. That may be your finding, however the buffalo controller is a USB controller from my understanding. We're talking about controllers that work with the actual SNES.

You're right, for that the 8bitDo dongle and wireless controllers are really good, I use them with both my SNES and NES. I also like it's quite versatile, I've used a PS3 controller with them as well. Edited September 29, 2016 by Newsdee

keepdreamin
I saw the Video I might buy a Cirka Pad later to test Don't do that. Put the cash towards the 8bitdo wireless setup.
R.Cade
The Buffalo controllers are not bad... I like the one with the red/gold original Famicom design.
keepdreamin
The Buffalo controllers are not bad... I like the one with the red/gold original Famicom design. awesome, but they don't work with an actual SNES. We're talking about controllers for the actual console. omegadot
I think I have two TTX controllers and I like them well enough. They were cheap and I picked them up locally. I liked my Cirka better until it got busted in a move. Where my SNES is it doesn't make much sense to go with the wireless setup, even though it's super cool.
