Bratwurst
Anyone got one they want to open up for me and take some pictures of the insides? Also want to know how many pins are in the end that plugs into the snes/n64/gamecube, but I'm guessing just enough for composite, audio and ground (4). Confirmation would be good though. CatPix
More than likely one pin to tap on the voltage, but I do'nt recall if the N64 deliver 12V or 5V.
Great Hierophant
Only PAL SNES and Gamecube ouput +12v, according to this : http://pinouts.ru/Game/n64video_pinout.shtml
Bratwurst
Yes, gentlemen, probably the +5 volt line as well, so that would be five contacts used. But that is neither here nor there, I'd prefer pictures instead of speculation.
RARusk
Six pins are used - both ground pins, composite video, left and right audio, and +5VDC. I used to take these things apart to get parts to make RGB Analog video cables. Unfortunately I have no pictures at this time..
