Matej
What we can do for Pseudo minecraft or Pseudo FPS voxel game... Lets be real. 1.) BallBlazer like grid background : LETS CALL that background GRID. 2.) Charset / Sprite??? Buildings like on SEGA Lawnmovern MAN game: When you will delete that "charset cube" - lets call it "CHARXEL" instead of VOXEL. You can have PSEUDO MINECRAFT like game or PSEUDO VOXEL FPS like game. (with ATARI LAN) http://oldcomp.cz/download/file.php?id=3161&mode=view We can have nice new multiplayer games. Something fresh on A800...

emkay
If you want to have something "most possible" to 3D projections, you have to chose the parts of the A8 that can be used for that. The "Grid" is a plain offset trick, using LMS instructions. So there is no chance to have distinguished plates in the 3D projection. In other words: If people say "RoF" isn't 3D , Ballblazer is also 1.5D , not even 2D
emkay
About the "3D" projection qualities... have a just a "neutral" look at the "zoom" Window..... nothing (8bit) beats the A8 there.
Matej
Lets go back to the voxel! And what about: - no texture - just 4 colors - just frames Something like 3D tetris - blockout???
Heaven/TQA
That's possible depending on amount of vertices/faces

popmilo
Maybe something like "Star trash" on c64 ? This type of character aligned iso-3d can be very fast and be done in enough colors to make it interesting.

popmilo
Someone understood, why I did post that above? Because you want someone to make Doom on Atari since 90's
emkay
Because you want someone to make Doom on Atari since 90's Not a full hit It's just that people .... even on worse machines ... put stuff together, people wouldn'T expect on the A8. They just did it, not doubting it.
popmilo
They just did it, not doubting it. Agreed... I'm not even doubting that wolf like game is possible. Been working on it for some time now but it's a complex thing to do it right. We don't want such a lame version as that vic20 thing
