DLI/VBI routine in Basic for P/M movement?

Looking for an atari basic program listing to move a player with a joystick, utilizing a VBI/DLI.....something that I can drop into the beginning of a larger basic program, put the player shape data in a data statement, and which will move an object around the screen in a smooth way in the background while the rest of the basic program does its thing. (30 years ago I could have figured this out myself, but after all these years i've totally forgotten such things).
