Mclaneinc
I can't playfight over the technical aspects of SJ, I can only repeat the numerous accolades from gamers and coders alike who were impressed with it. I'm hard to really impress enough to give away larger amounts of money and I brought the game. Although that proves nothing but I should not have brought it considering our circumstances, it does show it made me want to spend the cash because it looked, sounded and played well. I also brought Miner 2019'er because it played well and was a nice reminder of old times, could the Atari have done that game, absolutely with maybe a little problem with needing more sprites or animated redefined character graphics as there's more moving contraptions in the game, but I reckon it could be done. But actually you verified my initial point, you said "it just has a lot of colors", and that's what I've been saying about converting a lot of the C64 games that would like to be converted. They would not look the same in many cases and with some people that would be a disappointment. I know it's a shallow point but looks count. To others, they would look at how well it plays and be happy or not with that and for me that is the most important factor, but when folks get in to the mostly pointless comparison stakes, then looks will be commented on. Hence I prefer new games on the machines where there's no need to cross compare..
