Flashback 7 Frogger

Geez, did AT Games put any thought into the port of Frogger? I know there is music issues, but to not put any music in the game? And then, when you jump on the turtles, it doesn't matter what set, the turtles go under water. Weird.

First time I played it on the FBP, the diving turtles really through me off. There is also no reason for the lack of music as the SuperCharger version does it very well.

The graphics are nice...will that rom run on a real 2600? If not, then what "other" roms can be played on the FB?

Supercharger made some awesome games possible for the VCS.

It's not a technical issue, it's a copyright issue. The original Frogger used copyrighted music, so all the newer versions of Frogger don't have the original music.

 

That being said, there isn't a reason why they couldn't have just put different music on it.

 

I'm disappointed with this version of Frogger, which was the main reason I wanted a FB7. Back to the Supercharger version I guess.

Well, honestly speaking I got to see Frogger in the Atari Flashback Portable which is just a fun little machine. I play Frogger from time to time, but I really got the Portable for the SD slot.

 

I was watching the video of Frogger with music and one of the songs played was "Yankee Doodle" I believe? Seems like they just threw in a bunch of songs that were unbeat from various sources. Not to hard to just throw in other songs.
