A tremendous thanks to RevEng for both hosting the above archive, at the phenomenal 7800.8bitdev.org site - A fantastic reference for developers and those curious of the technical aspects regarding the Atari 7800 platform - And for the awesome 7800header tool, included with 7800AsmDevKit and 7800basic.
Some noteworthy points of the archive: Proper flagging for light gun, trak-ball, and paddles, which incorporates separate files for the respective controller types and regional difference when applicable. No more generic titles. Every ROM was examined and modified accordingly with an appropriate embedded name. POKEY and HSC support configured properly for the games which support them.
A more detailed list of whatsnew for the archive is included in the spoiler below.

WHATSNEW for HHDP_20170101:
All files have had their respective header updated. Just about all have received an update to their embedded game name, modified from a generic "My Game", file path, or some other misinformation. Many needed hardware flags corrected, and there have been external file name updates as well.

"Trak-Ball" and "Paddles" support has been added to the header. Games that support paddles optionally, have at least two different files, more if NTSC and PAL versions exist.

In addition to the above, the following is also noteworthy:
-NEW: Asterix Quest (Hack)

Thank you very much for the update Trebor! Your ROM pack really is the definitive Atari 7800 digital compilation and I for one sure appreciate all the work you've put into it. I'll be looking forward to trying the final versions of the Ken Sider—may he rest in peace—games as well, since I've never owned the original carts. Thank you once again and I'll look forward to seeing you in the next round of the 7800 High Score Club! :)

Same for me, Thank you. Also, I'd like to mention the work done in the testing and fixing of the bad ROMs when compiling the PROPack. No need to hunt for good versions of ROMs.

Very nice update Trebor. And very timely for me.

My Concerto should be showing up this week and this will be a great test. I am crossing my fingers that it works, but my 7800 Serial numbers don't lean towards a positive outcome. One can hope I guess.

And if it doesn't work I have some stuff to strip some headers from and load onto my Mateos. Have 3-4 games on there that I have bought the carts for so I can free up those slots for something new.

Dumb question but what does "No HSC set" mean? Does HSC mess up when the supported games are played in an emulator?

Short Answer:

"No HSC set" means that the presence of high score saving code is not set in the header flag. However, HSC does not mess up when the supported games are played in an emulator.

Detail Answer:

"No HSC set" is an incorrect header setting for games that do contain high score cart (HSC) saving code (I.E. Asteroids, Centipede, Dig Dug, Food Fight, Galaga, Joust, Ms. Pac-Man, Robotron: 2084, Xevious).

For games that do containing HSC saving code, under real hardware, when HSC saving (cart or device) is present, associated screens and saving would be demonstrated. By fixing the HSC flag in the respective ROM image header, it properly reflects the cartridge/game data and behavior.

Emulators the support HSC saving (I.E. A7800), and have it enabled, will provide the appropriate HSC saving. Emulators that do not have HSC enabled or do not support the HSC, simply play the game as usual.

So, just as would occur under real hardware, it is dependent on whether such HSC saving means are present and enabled, or disabled/absent, that will determine the respective game's behavior under emulation when the header is properly set.
