kyle
Have any of you ever come across anything else that uses the same type end as the 7800 power supply? Just curious? It kind of looks like the end on cordless phone batteries .
AtariBrian
As far as I know there is not anything that would match it .
+sixersfan105
Rumor has it that a line of Texas Instruments calculators from the 1970s have the same end. Check out this thread: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/252932-7800-blue-power-connection-plug-where-to-find/ Google "Texas Instruments AC9131" and take a look at the pics. Looks like it might be a fit, indeed!
kyle
If you look on Amazon there is a company that makes power supplies that work with the 7800. To be sure they're not making these just for the 7800?

kyle
$25. Best electronics still has new 7800 power supplies for $15.00. I had just never seen a third-party 7800 power supply before. https://www.amazon.com/Ac-Power-Adapter-Atari-7800-System/dp/B007PE1OZY/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&dpID=613dIJ0TbKL&dpPl=1&keywords=7800%20power%20supply&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&qid=1485037693&ref=plSrch&ref_=mp_s_a_1_1&sr=8-1&linkCode=ll1&tag=atariage&linkId=3f25fcb4f574a6d94f6419f5bf0e8672
virtvic
I got a7800 today without a psu. I modded it with a part from Maplin (a UK electronics shop, like Tandy etc) I had to push it in with a bit of force to make a nice tight fit. I soldered it to the mobo via some small fly wires. Works a treat!
+sixersfan105
Kyle, my apologies. I think I misunderstood your question. Those AtariGuide-branded PSU's work fine (I have one) but I prefer OEM.

Works a treat! Thats pretty slick! Do you have a part number by chance? Also - for bestelectronics.com for new adapter - ordered a couple times - had great experience. virtvic
I don't, I'm afraid. I think it's just called a dc power jack with a 2.5mm dia pin. I found this on ebay (UK) it is the one middle - left.
