Wyluli Wolf
I'd like to build an arcade style joystick for the sega master system and have a few questions. 1. Am I correct that a joystick can be built similar to an atari 7800 stick by using a DB9 extention cable and directly wiring to the joystick and buttons without a PCB or chip needed? 2. If the above is correct, it looks like button 1 connects to 6 and button 2 to 9 on the cable. Is anything else needed such as resistors, diodes, etc and if so, where? Thanks! Just wire the buttons to the corresponding pins.
Wyluli Wolf
Correct. Correct. No other components are needed. Just wire the buttons to the corresponding pins. Well that is just too easy! Thanks a bunch!
