Crimefighter
All right, nobody knows the existence of this game beyond a select few, me being one of them. So sit back and enjoy a forgotten game lost to time...
Mayhem
Funky! Definitely the released version has a lot more polish to it and seems leaps ahead.

polyex
I know Wizard of Wor does not got a lot of love these days, but I love the game. I remember seeing it premier in arcades, I had to have been 11 and was just amazed that it could talk! I have an arcade machine in my home that I restored and I play it every day! The owner should dump the roms of this prototype!
PizzaChef
Are you going to scan the art and dump the roms?

Jumpman1981
It's not mine... who's is it's then? Edited June 19, 2017 by Jumpman1981
Crimefighter
Well it was sold off on eBay, new owner unknown.
Swami
Apparently the guy tried to sell it to MAME admin for something like $6000 just so they could get the ROM, and they basically told him (after he bought it for $200 on Craigslist) to go &@#$ himself. http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=367397&page=2&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&vc=
Crimefighter
Well the seller who put it on Craigslist for $200 didn't know what they had. From what little I know a museum in New York bought it. Hopefully it won't go into storage and be hidden away for decades.
Sgt Jack V
Hopefully we can find the new owner and help him dump the ROMs for the MAME community to enjoy.
Swami
What irks me most about the seller is not the huge flipped profit as much as bragging in his ad that *not even MAME has it* as one of his selling points.
Crimefighter
The museum in question was contacted by me, they are going to back up the ROM data in case a chip goes bad on the board so there's a chance it could be released to the MAME community at some point. Mayhem
You'd be nucking futs not to backup the chips, even if you didn't release the dumps to the public.
TheRedEye
I happened to see this in person last week at the museum, it's in the right hands.
Swami
I happened to see this in person last week at the museum, it's in the right hands. Is it on display now, or still in storage?
jhd
Can the name of the museum be revealed yet?
