ravard
I'm interested in 1 assembled device and possibly 1 PCB and Case. With the PCB and Case, do you supply a complete list of needed components and instructions and I would assemble, solder, and program everything else? Thanks. ravard
JoSch
I would be interested in one. What exactly would one have to do to assemble it? Even soldering the ARM on the PCB?

Yes, ARM soldering is needed, but used chip is quite easy to solder.

VicViper
So would it be as simple as loading roms into the SD card? How complicated would this be to run games? As simple as an everdrive?

Witchboard
Hi. I'm interested, but needing some clarification about the PCB + Case + pre-programmed ARM option. Are all the components included and need to be soldered on to the board, or are they all soldered on with exception of the processor? Are all the components included and need to be soldered on to the board, or are they all soldered on with exception of the processor? Hi, no, this option means as is - there will be one empty PCB, one empty case and one programmed ARM chip.

ROMs can be just copied to microSD card on any PC with card reader. Games starting are easy also - just assigning needed image to drive in bootloader and after it start game. +Philsan
You should move this thread to A8 forum. Here not many people will read it and your link in the A8 SDrive-ARM thread will soon be submerged by other posts. As you can see, at the moment a preorder thread for another device is running in the A8 forum.

Witchboard
Hi, no, this option means as is - there will be one empty PCB, one empty case and one programmed ARM chip. So whomever purchases that option would be required to buy all the additional LEDs, resistors, VRM, etc that listed on the parts list document on github? Games starting are easy also - just assigning needed image to drive in bootloader and after it start game. if it's as easy as it sounds, I would take one assembled. Just boot the system up as though I where booting from a drive? Is there an actual graphic user interface, or do I need to load each ROM individually? tep392
Search "atari sdrive" on youtube and you'll find some good video's showing how it works.
VicViper
Search "atari sdrive" on youtube and you'll find some good video's showing how it works. wow that does look pretty simple, I'm definitely in. Do you need to add files to the SD card other than the roms?
tep392
I haven't used this so I don't know what you need to do to setup a new SD card. But I think the programs you load onto it will be ATR disk images, not rom files.
alsp
So whomever purchases that option would be required to buy all the additional LEDs, resistors, VRM, etc that listed on the parts list document on github? First and second variant targeted to geeks who like solder iron =) So all remaining parts can be easily taken from digikey or mouser.
