_The Doctor__
Only other thought, If you are trying to insert on an XE variant 800XLF etc... the cartridge plugs into the rightmost slot... not the ECI... How rare are the XLF models? Maybe an 800XE as well? Picutres of course would help, but you are most likely correct.

Even if it was an XLF, it still has the cart on top. XLF is a motherboard redesign, not a form factor change. Also, if it was an 800XE, there would be no port the Ultimate was "too small" for as the ECI port is smaller than the cartridge and the Cart port i, well, where it would go. _The Doctor__
800XE/XLF "variant" what have you, the point was either the cart goes into the top or if it goes into the back it should go towards the right not into the eci... No one is looking to say otherwise, makes you wonder what the op really has... Who knows maybe he has an 800 with the cover off the back. The 900XLF is the 65XE and the cart port is in the back... but whatever... Lets just say the silkscreen may change but the actual name often remains in the metal. For some real fun compare the pcb of these issued in the USA and PAL world... Edited May 20, 2020 by _The Doctor__
Kyle22
No matter what model he has, you can't put a square peg in a round hole. The cart only fits in ONE place with only one exception (original 800). This is NOT rocket science. :)
