Tanooki
That's a good way to put it I suppose, some of the golfers do kind of look fairly cheesy, but what really is, is that horribly amusing female voice belting out ON THE GREEN. Honestly if the Switch were a primary handheld to me I'd buy it, but with the Switch facing my arcade cabinet on the opposite wall I just can't see a reason. I did get it on ios for when I'm stuck on the go, and I have a dump of the arcade board on my android tablet with neo.emu.
Flojomojo
Wrong! If you like something, or have ever liked something in the past, you must buy it AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. At least that's what the voices inside my head are saying. Because I'm not gonna spend all my hard earned money on clothes or books, dammit.
Rick Dangerous
So the Switch was getting me excited to get a Neo Geo, but after looking at prices I think the Switch may have to do! $7 dollars sure beats paying $7000 for a game...lol So far I have Metal Slug and Turf Masters, but would like to pick up Metal Slug 3, Nam 1975, King of Fighters 98' (not really a fighting game guy, but i've heard this is one of the best, and Shock Troopers I'm also interesed in Alpha Mission II, but have heard there are much better SHMUP's on the NEO GEO so think I will hold out. I hope HAMSTER just keeps on porting these things until the best of the library is available I'd really like to see: -Blazing Star -Metal Slug 2 -Spinmaster -Pulstar -Aero Fighters 2 -Ghost Pilots -Magician Lord What else would you like to see on the eshop from the NEO GEO?
Tanooki
Good selection. I've got your entire like to see list other than pulstar which I tend to find a bit annoying.

Rick Dangerous
Hamster is crushing it with these Neo Geo ACA ports... The Switch is more or less becoming my portable Neo Geo machine at this point. I hope they keep them coming!!
Tanooki
Their online social media account said so far over 200K games sold just on Switch alone and growing. Given the very few titles they have on there compared to the stuff Sony has and being on the eshop market about 6 weeks now that's impressive. Rick Dangerous
No doubt. It was cool to see Blazing Star on the eshop today. For sure. Purchasing that one at my earliest convenience. May not need Pulstar with a great horizontal shooter like that available..
Rick Dangerous
Treating this as my "catch all" thread for the Hamster Neo Geo Ports. It looks like they are releasing the good along with the bad/okay titles. Anyone think the complete Neo Geo library might make it to the Switch? Certainly makes it hard to justify getting an AES given the price on these and how polished they are. I with someone would release a wireless Neo Geo arcade pad for the Switch, i'd snap that up in a heartbeat. Okay, being a big fan of the "beat em' up" genre, I recently picked up Burning Fight. I think it's a solid beat em' up game with a few fun and interesting new elements like being able to go into stores and smash them up and punching up vehicles that enemies are in. I wouldn't say it's as good as the later streets of rage games, but it's certainly better than plenty of the Double Dragon games. It does come off as being slightly generic but so what? What genre wasn't treadworn by the mid 90s.. At any rate, these people gave it a 3/10, which I thought was crazy: http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/switch-eshop/burning_fight_neogeo The game controls well, looks and sounds good, and is generally quite fun (even more so with a second player i'd imagine.) What are your thoughts on Burning Fight? To me it looked more appealing than the Beat em' up with robots... Any other "must have" Neo Geo games come out the past few months that we should all be picking up?
Punisher5.0
They got a lot of the good ones but I doubt they will do them all. SVC Chaos is a guilty pleasure of mine and it probably won't make it. It'll be interesting to see if NG:DEV will be open for their games to be on the system. Kraut Buster could be a masterpiece if it ever gets finished.
Rick Dangerous
Here is a much better Burning Fight review: http://videogamecritic.com/neogeoad.htm?e=56096#rev1862 What would you guys consider the "must haves" of everything that's been released so far? Tanooki
Not really there are some solid games I'm certain haven't been put out there, especially under the multiplayer banner. Baseball Stars 2 and League Bowling are sad omissions off the top of my head as is Windjammers.
Atariboy
The next batch has been revealed. Aero Fighters 3 Ghost Pilots Gururin Real Bout Fatal Fury Real Bout Fatal Fury Special Samurau Shodown III Sengoku 3 Stakes Winner World Heroes 2 JET Some surprises in there like Ghost Pilots. Thanks to the two shooters, this brings me awfully close to owning every Neo Geo game that ever caught my eye, without actually owning a Neo Geo. Nothing left that I can think of that I want other than two racers and Prehistoric Isle 2 after this. I can't think of any other vertical or horizontal shooters that hasn't been emulated on a console over the past 15 years at one point or another, except perhaps for some post-discontinuance releases from independent publishers after SNK left (Edit: I don't think Andro Dunos is out; I'd probably buy it if it ever appears). And everything else that ever appealed to me like Shock Troopers is already on a compilation disc or released digitally. Tanooki
Ghost Pilots is a really understated shooter on the system, total 194x ripoff and does it well. I'm more shocked to see them bother with Stakes Winner as it's pretty much semi-out of your control horse racing. Andro Dunos is not out, have this one on cart too and had to as it's like this wicked fun bastard child in style of Gradius III and R-Type and handles it well. Very pleased to see AF3 and SS3 showing up too along with also Sengoku 3 and Gururin.
