Hydro Thunder
I know that it's hard to trust any single source or single reviewer. But I'm having a lot of trouble coping with modern gaming since the 360, as most downloadable games do not offer free trials (honestly I HATE that about modern gaming, and loved it to pieces on XBLA/ 360; trying games was the only way to know if it was worth my $). What are some of the community's recommendations for places to go for solid, thorough reviews of inexpensive, indy-type downloadable games? I'm not big on the opinions of IGN etc, they tend to think that only multiplayer matters (when in fact it doesn't matter to me at all, I don't even have Gold nor want it). Hoping to find good sources that play nearly everything that comes out and review them fairly, honestly, and thoroughly. I'm looking into RipTide Renegade and World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap presently, and most reviews seem quite positive on those... Any opinions welcome! Flojomojo
I would start with Metacritic as a launching point, and stick with reviewers I like that I find there.
