+atari2600land
OK, I feel kind of embarrassed asking, though, but here goes anyway. I was playing Smurf: Rescue In Gargamel's Castle. I was doing fine up until I got to the screen with Smurfette on it. I am totally stumped. How do I jump up on top of the skull? Is there some sort of super jump I'm missing? TPR
Press up twice to double jump.
+atari2600land
That did it, but it is kind of hard to get the hang of. Thanks.

+atari2600land
Smurfette has been rescued a few times, but the double jump thing is so hard to do, Mr. Smurf falls face first into the skull a lot.
BillyHW
You made it all the way to Smurfette without the double jump?
+atari2600land
Is that unusual?
frank_c
From what I remember it is unusual.
ColecoFan1981
This is what I do in the last room in the castle... Walk Smurf into near center of the room, then make him jump at the center of the floor, so he can do a long jump onto the skull's head and then another onto the throne where Smurfette is! The other thing that bothers me is this: why did the programmers not implement points for each unused energy unit? Since it is also how much "time" you have, each unused unit of energy could be 100 points added to your score. For example, if you have 14 bars of energy left upon saving Smurfette, that is 1,400 points added to your score! ~Ben Edited April 22, 2017 by ColecoFan1981
BillyHW
I'd say it's unusual because then you'd have to time all your jumps perfectly.
+atari2600land
I press 1 on the colecovision games' "title screen." Perhaps I should press 2, 3 or 4 some time?
BillyHW
I press 1 on the colecovision games' "title screen." Perhaps I should press 2, 3 or 4 some time? Only if you want to impress Smurfette.
+atari2600land
So I'm guessing 1 is the easiest setting. I never knew which button to press.
Osgeld
yea skill 1 you dont need the double jump until the end, and the double jump used to always aggravate me cause it is hard to do

+atari2600land
That is a great website! I was wondering if there was an AA-like site for the Colecovision.
