+atari2600land
I'm new to Colecovision, but I was surfing eBay when I came across this peculiar-looking black and white label Ladybug. Is this odd, or not? Mine looks different, it's the standard one. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 272549122973
Crapahute
It seems it is a CBS case with a Canadian sticker.
coleconut
We saw CBS versions in stores here in Canada as well as black and white labels and I think later in the mid-80's there was a lot of mixing and matching to clear out stock.
ten-four
Hi coleconut. Just my words.
+nanochess
The Canadian labels in black & white were made because Coleco had to comply with Canadian regulations stating that all games should have messages in French, so in order to save money they printed Black&White labels instead of color ones, they were so lazy they shipped the USA game with USA label and the label at side so you could glue it over your cartridge. So it's not strange to find Canadian labels still waiting to be applied.
NIAD
Nanochess... actually these replacement French language labels were printed in color to start and then later, most likely to save on printing expenses, they switched to black and white labels. This switch might have even been decided upon by Coleco of Canada.
+atari2600land
I've never seen a CBS cart before. How rare are they?
NIAD
I've never seen a CBS cart before. How rare are they? Not rare at all, even on this side of the big pond.
