Ultimate Cart question... Booting DOS

OK... Setup is 800XL with Ultimate 1MB, SIO2PC and as of today, Ultimate Cart. I put all my programming carts (Basic, Basic XL, Basic XE, Mac/65) etc... onto the cart. When I boot, I get the cart menu, and select the language I want. How do I boot a DOS using internal SpartaDos from U1m so I have disk access before the cart kicks in?

If the Ultimate Cart works at all like Robin's Uno Cart ...

1. Set your U1MB to enable SpartaDOS X.

2. Press 'B' to boot and get the SDX D1: prompt.

3. Type CAR: to boot to the cart setup menu.

4. Select the cartridge rom image you want it to emulate.

5. Boot; internal SDX won't be "visible" to the cartridge ROM yet.

6. Preset SYSTEM RESET and HELP to get back to the U1MB menus.

7. Press 'B' to boot - no need to change anything.

8. You'll get the internal SDX D1: prompt again.

9. Now type CAR: and this time the rom you set the last time will already be active and, if it's compatible with a rom-based SDX (not all cartridges are!), you'll be able to use all normal disk functions.

It's a bit more convoluted to describe step by step but once you've done it, it's not difficult.
