Twitch_Aut
So, I'm involved in multiple hobbies, and I have to say thus far THIS has been the most helpful forum I've been on yet. Many other hobbyist forums tend to dismiss the "n00b" questions as frustrating, redundant and annoying. I definitely appreciate all the help. Seems like a very cool community., That said, I ran the program baktra gave me and voila! IT WORKED!!! So stoked the equipment isn't faulty, and very excited to start the initial modding to get actual programs to load. The 64k upgrade seems pretty easy and straightforward assuming my chips have sockets, but I am pretty sure even desoldering and resoldering won't be too difficult. One step at a time... By the way, the conversation with my fiance went something like this. Me: So, I joined a forum to help me with the Atari Her: Oh...you're into the weirdest stuff, you know that. Me: I know. I also got some good advice Her: Oh? Me: Yeah, so you know all the beeping for the last few days Her: ...yeah, I was about to throttle you, yes. Me: Turns out it never would have worked in the first place. Not enough memory in the computer Her: ...wait...so I suffered through that for - Me: Yeah, basically Her: *angry glare* I guess I could have muted it, but I like the sound

Twitch_Aut
I'll pull it apart tonight. Just to double check, http://www.ebay.com/itm/TI-TMS4464-10NL-DIP-18-x4-Page-Mode-DRAM-/401214032250?hash=item5d6a38497a:g:xzQAAOSwo4pYECgL This is what I'm looking for right? If so, I think there's a couple places locally that I may find them, otherwise Ebay it is!
