Marius
From the main menu, use [HELP] to access. L=Load S=Save The memory dump is made to the MyIDE-][ SRAM. So when you turn-off the console, its gone. Sorry, its not "permanent" But... with an external tool it would be quite easy to dump the SRAM into a file, and reload it... I could write it, but I have not much time... Anyone else?
mr-atari
Sure that is possible, but how do you exit your game and start the tool...... I will put this on the wish-list, OK? Perhaps a 2 stage Load/Save. First to/from SRAM and when a CF is inserted, to/from CF. Grtz, Sijmen.

The system is working very good. Stefan
TheMontezuma
On Fujiama 2017 I updated the Bios4Config flash in my Atari with a different set of 16 OS ROMs (this time including MyBios). HardwareDoc has updated the hardcoded names in the Bios4Config software to reflect my new content and I was able to test standalone MyBios OS This is pretty cool - it is the first OS ROM supporting Hi-Speed communication over Bluetooth.

scotty
Just curious, is this project still alive?
Marius
It is a good question. On one side I think yes. Sijmen (Mr. Atari) is still active with atari 8bit and MyIDE (MyBios) is really one of his 'babies' so he will not let it die. On other side: I am not sure, since it was already in a rather complete state.
SS
I sent Sijmen an error report for some OSa game (I can't quite remember which one now) around the beginning of the year. I know that he worked a fix for it into his new WIP version of MyBIOS that he was working on but I haven't heard anything since then. Hopefully there will be a new public release at some point. I use MyBIOS as one of my 4 OS choices for my U1MB and actually keep it in regular rotation.
mr-atari
Did I miss something? Sure the project is still alive. But when nobody reports bugs or issues, nothing to-do. Latest versions are online. Been playing with SIO2WiFi / LiteDOS the last 2 years, perhaps that's why? For direct questions and such, better email me on my homepage. I am not 24/7 online.... Cheers!
_The Doctor__
Mr. Atari, http://www.mr-atari.com/Mr.Atari/MyBIOS/ Is this an executable soft os like in the old days? I have someone trying to get stuff running on a 1200XL that finds things run on the MyIDE but wants to run some other stuff when the MyIDE isn't inserted. to be clear, a soft os version (much like the old translators worked) I thought it was already out there as possibly a test or developmental form of it and think this is it and see the need for the challenge you did. I considered it a demo if you like but now see such a thing in that form as much more. Sometimes you just don't have your MyIDE cart with you... so to be clear, how can I run this off of any old disk as a 'stand alone enhanced Atari OS'? Gunstar
I haven't read the entire thread so forgive me if I missed it, but will this stand-alone MyBIOS work on a real Atari flashed to a 32-in-1 or to an eprom? Or is this for Altirra only? Maybe I missed a later post including a flash-able version? Or is there another version entirely for that? I seem to remember reading about an internal OS version someplace in the manual/instructions or on the forum...but maybe I'm just thinking of the MyIDE OS's for MyIDE II cart or HDD and not MyBIOS. So along the same lines as @_The Doctor__ is asking but for internal rom instead of booting from floppy. I do have to say @mr-atari , that I was indifferent about the earlier versions of MyBIOS, and still preferred using APE WARP+ OS with an SDX cart and MyIDE 2, with FJC's driver, but I really love MyBIOS 4.9 that I have installed in my MyIDE II cart, if only I could use it with my SDX cart...I'm torn between it and Qmeg V4 OS, which is compatible with my SDX cart. I prefer MyBIOS 4.9 menu system, but hate that I can only use it with MyDOS. Edited September 19, 2019 by Gunstar

I know you can use it with SDX in flash/sram from the MyIDE 2 cart, but then I can't use that spot for an OSS cart and it's a waste of my SSDX cart with R-time built in too, using the same clock as U1MB! Yes the rom is in the zip and you can put it in a 32-in-1 Edited September 19, 2019 by _The Doctor__
mr-atari
Try this, it's based on the latest build, but has no RESET-key protection. It actually has, but the code is not present in RAM. I manually hand-patched the 16k cartridge-code. So use SHIFT-CONTROL -ESC -TAB to do warm or cold start. Beside that, it seems to run fine on my end. Boot with BASIC disabled. MyBIOS-RAM.atr

_The Doctor__
The zip has the roms, the atr is for stand alone soft os in ram from floppy/hdd etc.... at least it's supposed to be... APE doesn't recognize it but will serve it... starts to boot and fails at the end... drive polling goes nuts, messed up screen....
