+Cafeman
I went Thursday and Friday this year. Had a good time playing Qbert, Pole Position, Star Trek, The newer Oregon Trail, stand up Crazy Taxi although it was too difficult to boost for some reason, got 200k on Robotron, Baby Pac-man, and of course many other games. Lots of vendors, got a Wico 5200 stick, a replacement Crazy Taxi DC since my old one is scratched, bought from the chocolate guy, and several art posters. Good IPA beer on tap although expensive. Heard the Friday bands, watched one seminar, and that was enough for me this year. I skipped watching Pinburgh entirely this year. I love going on Thursday because the crowd is smaller. See ya next year Replay FX. Here are a few pics for fun .. is there forum software statements to rotate these so they don't appear on their side? VectorGamer
I got my ass kicked in Pinburgh - I never saw that coming. After two almost 12 hour days playing pinball Thursday and Friday, I could only stomach a few more hours of playing on Saturday. I left early Sunday morning. To be honest, the show wasn't as good as years past for the simple reason that they got rid of the arcade tournament. I made a decision beforehand not to play in Pinburgh in 2019 so I can save my vacation days for something else. If I go to the show next year I'll come in Saturday and leave Sunday. It wasn't a horrible show, but I really think that not having the arcade tournament (and losing the Kong Off a couple of years ago) has made it less exciting than it was in years past. Agreed on both points. Also I enjoyed the earlier years seminar speakers. Eugene Jarvis and his company were also there the first year. But this year I just wasn't into the seminars, not enough to attend Saturday just to see them.
