Very Strange Error Today on "Classic Gaming General"

Just wanted to show this error I got today when trying to access the "Classic Gaming General" forum from my Samsung Galaxy S6.

It was blocked for a while for "inappropriate material?" It lasted for about an hour then went away. When I tried to override the block, it wouldn't let me.

Maybe it was just my phone...but I've never seen anything like this before on Atariage. All other forums were fine.

Just wanted to let you know....

That's strange. You are using a network that has some sort of web filter on it, and they could choose to block a site (or specific pages) for any reason they want, depending on the definition of "inappropriate material". There are surely many pages in the forum that someone would probably deem "inappropriate". Without a specific thread to look at, your guess is as good as mine.

I was on my data plan when it happened, so that would mean to me that AT@T filtered out the site for some reason. I've been to other sites before with innapropriate material on my phone with no problems. That was by accident of course...

You appear to be connected to a WiFi network in your screenshot. And the bottom says "Shark UTM", which looks to be some sort of network security appliance.

Hmmm. I was in a car when this happened...maybe a driveby free wifi connection. But, when I checked an hour later, still no access.

You should never let your phone connect to unknown open hotspots. Might as well fly a banner behind your car, with your credit card number and a pin on it. :P

Not trying to be funny or anything. The url does have the word 'ass'(classic) in it, which may be picking up by the filter and disallowing your phone to access. I'm guessing they are trying to block people looking up porn on public hotspots.

You mean the filtering software failed the "Scunthorpe" test then?
