What did Kenner have to do with Coleco? I'm guessing maybe Kenner was going to possibly help with distribution since they were riding high with the profits from the Star Wars toys?

 

I'm also guessing that Atari made a better offer for Phoenix and Vanguard at the last minute. It's been said plenty of times on Atari sites that Atari refused to pay what Nintendo wanted for Donkey Kong initially and internally, a lot of Atari employees - including those in Atari Coin - disliked the arcade game originally. Of course, later on, that didn't seem to phase Landon Dyer one bit...
