Jess Ragan
...a lot of these systems have composite output, which makes the video quality pretty shabby. That's a shame, because some of the plug 'n plays are actually very well designed and deserve to look their absolute best. Has anyone attempted to mod one of these systems for component video? Is there enough known about, say, the Namco plug 'n plays to make this feasible?
TheTIGuy
For most of these things, the difference between composite and component is microscopic at best, and make it look like $*!t (even more so) at the very worst.
Osgeld
almost all these things are systems on a chip and everything is done internal and covered with a blob of epoxy PS, composite done right looks pretty good, shit composite converted to shit component is still going to look like ... um well poo, these things are made to the lowest cost using just the bare minimum effort to produce a image on screen and sent out a garbage, non impedance matched length of speaker wire, 3 strands thick Edited July 31, 2017 by Osgeld
