AE35 Posted September 3, 2017 Share Posted September 3, 2017 well, i got used to the new dash moves and gameplay of sonic 4 also. this game isn't for everyone. some people prefer the new gameplay mechanisms, others like the older retro style physics. later -1 Also, modern platformers has a slight advantage being in 3D, which enables the use of zoom. On top of my head, the best Sonic 'sideview/2.5D' experiences is: Sonic 4 Ep. II, Lost World, Generations...even the 2.5D stages from the broken Sonic: Rise of Lyric are pretty OK (it's mostly the 3D stages that are horrible) I really, really liked Lost World, and I had fun with Generations. However, I wish that these mixed 3D/2.5D games would give me the option to play only one type and never see the other levels. Later this month Cuphead will be released.
