FroggoGamer
I didn't know Mr. Siders either but I've been enjoying his games. It is always sad to hear of anyone dying so young.

edladdin
That's terrible and sad news, and very scary for all of us who are basically the same age as he was. ☹️

bikeguychicago
That's terrible and sad news, and very scary for all of us who are basically the same age as he was. ☹️ Yeah. I'm a few years younger than him but it's definitely a wake-up call.
Tempest
So young. I wonder what he died of? I'm not too far off of his age myself.
BassGuitari
Shocking news. He had practically another lifetime ahead of him yet! Condolences to his family.Beef Drop was one of the first homebrews I got for any platform...gosh, probably ten years ago now. He was so talented.
Dauber
So young. I wonder what he died of? I'm not too far off of his age myself. His obituary says he died "unexpectedly" so I'm guessing an accident or maybe a freak illness or something.
DrSidneyZweibel
Well that's horrible news. Beef Drop 7800 was the first homebrew game I ever bought. Bummer.
Gregory DG
So very sorry to hear this. Ken was a legend to me... He will be missed.
fiddlepaddle
I bought Beef Drop from him at a game show in Columbus a few years ago. I was surprised when he asked me where I wanted him to sign it. I didn't really consider him a celebrity at the time, just kind of a nerdy romantic for writing a program for a long-dead architecture, and then foolishly trying to sell copies. I asked him a few questions about it and we talked for a few minutes. He seemed quiet and reserved and a really nice guy. Later, I learned he was well-known and respected in the home brew community, and more specifically, on Atari Age. Beef Drop is an excellent game; it's probably my favorite 7800 game, and I think it's the only home brew I own. Ken Siders will be remembered.
VicViper
Beef drop was the first homebrew i ever owned. Bummer for the community and his loved ones. wonder if there is a way to reach the people in his "real" life to let them know how much he meant to the community.
+FujiSkunk
Sucks. My prayers to his family and friends. RIP Mr. Siders. Thank you for some of the 7800's greatest games.
Lendorien
Oh man. I wasn't familiar with who this was until I saw it was Kenfused. I've been around about 9 years new and I've seen him jump in and help folks repeatedly. I've long held him in great respect from reading his many posts over the years. He really was an asset to the community and a nice guy to boot. His presence here will surely be missed. I'll be praying for his family. At 49, he truly was still young. I can't imagine what they must be going through.
Emehr
This is really sad to hear. My condolences to his family. Beef Drop and b*nQ are amazing 7800 ports and a proud part of my cart collection. Such a great talent. :-(

+groundtrooper
This really saddens me. I have only been in the 7800 scene for a year but when I jumped in and saw and read about B*nq! and BT I was impressed. These 2 are on my list to get. But I want a BT with a POKEY (Which I have one to donate) I am just waiting for Al to tell me to send it so he can make it happen.
