Brentarian
Since getting back into Atari 8-bits several years ago, I have been very frustrated with not being able to find local deals at yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. My luck finally changed today! For $100, I picked up a 1200XL, 400 (boxed), 850, 1020 (boxed), 410 (boxed), 4 carts, Kraft joystick, pair of paddles, Conversational Spanish, composite video cable, and two power supplies. I found it using the app LetGo and the person was only two miles away from me. It makes me wonder how many more 8-bits are still hiding in closets and garages around town. It came from a smoker's house so the 1200XL and 400 will definitely require cleaning. The 1020 printer wasn't used much at all, but I suspect the pens are dried up. The Donkey Kong cartridge also has a strange paper label on it.
Good_Times
What a haul, man! Not at all into the Atari computer stuff, but I'm not BLIND! And what a value, as well! A real score.
Lord Thag
Damn. That reminds me of a work score I had awhle back. Guy said, hey, 'I hear you like old Atari stuff' and I tell him sure I do. He comes in with a 1200xl, two 600xls, 3 disk drives, and thirty carts.

Lord Thag
I like the deal you got better! Yeah, that was not a bad day. I then stopped by the local used game shop two days later and they had another 20 carts someone had just traded in. i went from one copy of Miner 2049er to50 carts in less than a week. It's what got me started collecting the 8 bits
+wood_jl
It's always a bit of fun to look up an old Atari store from the heyday (thanks for at least that, Google Street View!!!), and see what's there now. So here's what at 2357 Coney Isand Ave in Brooklyn, NY now..... All those complaints about an overly-litigious society are just hogwash!!!!
Level42
I hope yo do realise that you drive European collectors/A8 fans mad with postings like these ? Two machines that are unoptanium over here in one haul plus a lot of nice extra stuff........sigh..... What do we get ? Stupid 800XE's with bad GTIA's and probably dead RAM.....yeahhhh I actually sold my 800XE to a US guy...I just don't see the beauty of a 800XL in a 130XE case....but a 400 and 1200XL are still on my wish list Congrats on this haul !!!!

Kyle22
If anyone has heard of Steve Jones, he had an Atari store in Indiana, PA on Philadelphia Ave. The store was named "Debug Bytes" Yeah, Off-Topic. It just seemed like a good time to ask that question. Reply in a different topic if you have any info.
+slx
For a nice European local pickup, just wait for my heirs to get rid of my Atari stuff once I'm gone
