Tangentg
Wow, this hack is actually really awesome, never really seen any spreadshot game on the 2600 before. I always preferred the Atari 800 version due to the balloons and tanks, wonder if it's possible to fit those in. My preferred version of River Raid had been River Raid Plus because of the addition of the balloons.

Arenafoot
regimm - not sure if Nukey ever saw your request,,,, so here's a try: Actually, the original game does this already because fuel consumption is a constant (whether you go fast or slow, it drains at the same rate). On that note, it would be easier to instruct the game to eat fuel faster if you accelerate than doing it the other way around. "Dad, can you play two at the same time?"It was this question of my daughter that made me ask here, is it difficult to program to make the River Raid be multiplayer, that is, both players at the same time? Imagine the battle to get fuel, to make more points, etc ...The screen could advance at slow speed always, and players could move the plane back and forth as well ..... Is that possible, Mr. Shay?
Nukey Shay
Saw it...but the compromises (as a hack) would be a bit steep. Tracking and displaying a second plane and missile is out (as mentioned, the side missile thing only worked because the comparison for the center missile was already active). So to do both players, the plane and missile are flickered at 30hz. The downside there is that the missiles fired stand a good chance of missing their targets due to the flicker...the side missiles already demonstrate this problem. Being hit and dying is another issue...that whole routine would need to be rewitten. It would make a novel game idea if anyone wants to create a new program from the ground up.

SoundGammon
Where can someone get all those cool labels? I want to burn a chip with River Raid 3 and put it in a cart!

I want to burn a chip with River Raid 3 and put it in a cart! I created three of them for the stream (Pac-Man Aracade Enhanced, River Raid 3, Galaxian Arcade Expanded) from existing elements. I wouldn't classify them as high enough quality for printing but I've attached them below. I've also included the graphics for the other two games of Kurt's we played. - James
