It looks like thick stock paper or card stock that was printed and folded by hand into a box. Edit: Oh, thought he meant the top/sides, not the black water effect on the box itself. No, it's not creased. That is a visual effect... the picture didn't come out so well, but it's water ripples in dark water. Game is a lot of fun, but it is definitely hard. Particularly, the 2600 version of the game, it's tougher than I remember. The Arcade version of the game is cool... the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor / P71 at the bottom is flying... hard to get by, but the game mechanics are fixed, and seem to work well. Well worth it, it's fun. I know my daughter is going to play for hours. I'm cursed by the Cybermorph lady who taunts me when I die...!!! EDIT to say...
