Tempest
Matt, Jeff and Darrin.....no escape?? Sorry I just don't have the time at the moment. I'll try this weekend though (or is it over?)
ballyalley
Christopher was over one day last week. He played too, but he felt his score was too low to submit (but it wasn't). Christopher contacted me privately and said that I was actually supposed to accept his score if he didn't submit another one to me. His score is from this past Friday, November 3, 2017: Escape - 3,870 (NTSC Emerson Arcadia 2001) Here is the updated score list: 10 - Chris++ - 12,170 9 - Mark Canon - 10,640 8 - James Jacobs - 9,750 7 - BallyAlley - 7,110 6 - Christopher - 3,870 Here is the updated final tables: 1st Mark Canon 9 + 1 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 11 points !$ 2nd Chris++ 10 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 10 points 2nd BallyAlley 7 + 0 + 0 + 1 + 0 = 8 points # 3rd James Jacobs 8 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 8 points 4th Christopher 6 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 6 points Thanks for submitting your score, Christopher. There's never a reason to feel like your score isn't good enough for the Arcadia HSC. The worst that can happen is that I'll just make fun of your puny little pile of four digits. Really, it is quite sad! Actually, I'm just giving Christopher a hard time. He was playing on my real hardware with my "sticky" Arcadia pads that don't work quite right. For working with such shoddy equipment, that is score is quite good. Adam
Tempest
When does the next season start? Given how far behind I am now I might just wait until then.
ballyalley
When does the next season start? Given how far behind I am now I might just wait until then. If by "next session" you mean when does the next round start, then it started this past Sunday and will last two weeks. We're currently playing a non-U.S. release called Funky Fish. I'm going to try to post the official start of round four today. That will include the rules, options, and other extras, but you can start playing it anytime. If by "next session" you mean when does the season start, then Season 2 of the Arcadia HSC starts at the beginning of January 2018. That leaves us with four more rounds for Season 1: Season 1, Round 4 - Funky Fish (Nov. 5 - Nov. 19) Season 1, Round 5 - Space Raiders (Nov. 19 - Dec. 3) Season 1, Round 6 - Brain Quiz (Dec. 3 - Dec 17) Season 1, Round 7 - Space Vultures (Dec. 17 - Dec. 31) Some "games" will likely be boring (I'm looking at you, Brain Quiz) so those rounds might also be "catch up" rounds. There's no need to feel like your behind, at least not in terms of the High Score Club. I drop in and out of the Atari 8-Bit HSC now and then with no ill affects. I won't ever win in that club, but, for me, that's not the point. I really enjoy the Atari home computers (they're my favorite game system), but right now I'm exploring the Arcadia family. If you feel like playing one of these Arcadia games that we're playing, then play one that you like when you have the time. By the way, "Tempest," since you're the Atari prototype guy, do you have any prototype games for the Arcadia family? Adam
BassGuitari
Matt, Jeff and Darrin.....no escape?? Sorry, man. As much as I mean to, I haven't been doing much gaming lately.
Tempest
By the way, "Tempest," since you're the Atari prototype guy, do you have any prototype games for the Arcadia family? No, I've never seen any. I imagine they're super rare if they actually ever created any. Something tells me most of these games were programmed on some sort of emulator or downloaded directly to a development system. I can't see them sending carts out for play testing or review. ballyalley
I *think* I've found a space to put the Arcadia out in my game room. We'll see... The Arcadia is such a tiny console-- you can find room for it just about anywhere. Or, take down that "trusty" Atari 2600 console. It's past its prime, man! (Adam ducks as he becomes the Official Arcadia Troll!) Adam

In fact the Arcadia and Videobrain are my only two systems that use RF instead of composite or S-video.
