mobiusstriptech
I was working on my Dad's server over the weekend and my mom mentioned that her secretary was throwing away some old Atari stuff. She asked if I would want it. Of course I said yes, didn't really care what it was and assumed Atari was being used generically. Needless to say, I was quite happy when I opened the trash bag and found this inside.

mobiusstriptech
I kid you not, it was literally in a heavy duty black trash bag. I was ecstatic. Plus I got all my UAV boards on the same day. So looks like those have more homes.
pacman000
I'm at once happy that it was saved and sad/sick because someone was going to throw it all out. What else has been thrown out over the years?
mobiusstriptech
I showed this to a woman at my office and she had told me that her husband threw out all of their old Atari systems. They apparently had multiple machines. She couldn't remember the models, but said at least one of them was one of the computers. And run down the hall yelling Merry Christmas to me!! ??
mobiusstriptech
I can tell you that when I opened it I definitely looked like a kid on christmas. Even my kids were excited because I brought them up correctly of course.

You did good saving that stuff Reminds me of one time over the Summer at a very nearby yardsale held by two soon to be moving folks in their sixties who happened to mention having just thrown out "a week ago" a large amount of their kids old Nintendo and Atari games, as they assumed they were worthless and nobody would want such common junk. They still had an original Xbox for $10 along with multiple controllers and games. There's still plenty of clueless people just throwing old games out without a second thought, sadly.
