Omega-TI
NOTE: This idea requires a substantial upfront investment. 1 - Spend the next 12-18 months buying all the used 5200 units off of Ebay. 2 - Design and market an HDMI high quality output device for the unit. Once word gets out about the crystal clear display on modern displays, many people will want a 5200. At this point you'll have cornered the 5200 market with all those machines that you'll sell at a markup plus the HDMI converter as well. 3 - Sell, sell, sell! Oh - be sure to have plenty of joystick replacements on hand too! You'll make money off that too. So, what are you sitting here for? Become a rich man by starting the next retro-craze. All you have to do is build an HDMI converter for the Atari 5200!

+-^CrossBow^-
Isn't that what someone is already doing with 7800s and 2600s in the AtariAge Marketplace FB group now? Claim to have a lag free HDMI modification but refuse to allow it to be seen or show what it looks like installed and just sell expensive 7800 and 2600 units that have been premodded? vidak
I feel like 2600s and 5200s are expensive enough. I'd do it for the purpose of popularizing the console.

The Sophia RGB Mod already works on the 5200: Same with the older VBXE: Edited December 4, 2017 by Lynxpro
