If you have the space, consider getting a good Trinitron CRT and call it a day.

I think that is the best advice: find an old TV that works well.  I found a 2008 LG Flatron that takes all kinds of inputs, and it works very well with a variety of old retro systems.

So I have question - how to convert AV yo HDMI?

If you can get your hands on one of my old Snes2Jag adapters you can use the Snes Rad2x from Retrogaming cables to output HDMI directly from the Jag. Snes Pound HDMI cables work as well as does the Hyperkin HDMI Snes cables.

Rad2x Link https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/RAD2X-CABLES

Also if you go to Helders website you can buy the Jag2Snes which may work with the Rad2x as well...this is unconfirmed as i dont have a Helders Jag2Snes to test, but honestly there isnt that much to converting the Jag AV/RGB signals to a different output style (Snes, Genesis 2, etc.) so I expect this adapter to work with the Rad2x as well..but again I dont have one so Buyer beware.

For the SNES2JAG, if all you care about is composite or S-video, you'd want the RetroTINK 2X-MINI, which will scale the image up to 480p (which the vast majority of modern TVs can handle):

https://www.retrotink.com/product-page/2x-mini

If you want to use component cables (or composite, or S-video), you'd want the RetroTINK 2X-Classic or 2X-Pro:

https://www.retrotink.com/product-page/2x-classic

https://www.retrotink.com/product-page/retrotink-2x-pro

The only major differences between the two (other than cost) is that the Pro has a much nicer case, has an optional scanline filter, and offers a comb filter to clean up composite video.

The only other game in town is the OSSC. It's a bit more expensive than the 2X-Pro and more difficult to configure, but would offer better image quality since it is capable of scaling up to HD resolutions.

The Jag2SNES I ordered back on Dec 2 arrived today.  I unplugged the S-Video cable from the back of my N64 and then connected it to my Jaguar with this adaptor.  I fired my Jag up - and the adaptor works perfectly!  Really nice S-Video connection.

I have mine connected to the Rad2X for the SNES. I had to plug in a power supply to the Rad2X to get it to work.

Just tested my new Jag2SNES with a SNES HDMI adapter from Amazon. (waiting for my backordered HD RETROVISION SNES component cable)

I absolutely love the video from this setup!  Quite honestly, my Jag has never looked this good.

This is great feedback. I was wondering how the Jag2SNES would work with that HDMI adapter. Great to hear it's a decent picture. For my setup, I have the HD RetroVision cables through my OSSC and it's crazy how crisp the Jag looks through it.
