digdugnate
and i must say that even the el cheapo 'CX40' sticks that came with my Atari Flashback feel better than the old TI 'Wired Remote Controllers'. Not that I don't have some sentimental attachment to them, but good grief. I foresee hunting down a Wico Slik Stik (or equivalent) in the very NEAR future! carlsson
The Slik Stik was made by Suncom, perhaps better known for the Tac-2. On the other hand, Wico made the Red Ball, Command Control, Boss etc.

Boy would I have sounded silly otherwise.
Casey
Had a Tac 2 and a slik stik back in the day (they were different). I prefer the slik stik. I always felt the fire buttons on the Tac 2 required more force than the slik stik.
+arcadeshopper
I prefer the wico bat handles myself, leaf switches>microswitches Greg

I guess next you haters will say Zero Zap is the worst game ever?! Epyx 500J and the Suncom Tac-2 always my favorites

+save2600
now now, Zero Zap is in my list of top ten games played. You don't really "play" Zero Zap... after shooting the arrow, you just watch it.

digdugnate
to update the thread (rather than resurrecting the ancient joystick one), i hit up a game store in Springfield and picked up a 'Retro 2600 Classic Controller' for 13 bucks for right now till i can spend some time to get a proper stick. the weight and the button/stick feel pretty good. i did kind of roll my eyes, tho, because they were selling the flimsy Flashback sticks for 8 bucks a whack purporting that they were the original CX40 sticks. dphirschler
The only thing worse than the TI Joysticks are the beige consoles. I totally disagree. I love my beige consoles! Superior power switch, easier to care for. Man, the black/silver ones are pretty, but they are SO easy to scratch and dent the metal.
