This question is regarding all controllers that have the grommet(if is called that in this case may be a different word I'm looking for but I tried searching controller cord grommet found nothing pretty much) that the cord goes through such as the Sega Genesis controller. I know the NES controller doesn't have one.

 

The closest thing I can find is this

So I guess my first question is what is it called if I'm calling it the wrong thing and next question is there a cheap after market supplier of the right ones or generic ones that will work for most cords?

So i know what to search for now, I just gotta find ones that will match up. It would still help if anyone already knew a direct replacement that fits for Sega Genesis controllers and looks original.

I was looking for this when I was designing my 7800/2600 controller. Also, you are right nintendo didn't use them. So neither will I, Muhwhahaha!
