One of the best games of all time. Superb arade combat, either wipe out the opponent or capture the 5 power points to win.

We'll miss the excellent Kik-Start and try some of the other bike games not HSC played before; then we'll get mad and maybe just find one that is ok?!

Porbably the best game of all time, though perhaps not in 1 player mode, though it is still darn good! Supports 1-4 players even on the XL/XE can play 3 player if you have a set of paddles (multijoy adapter version for 4 player exists too). 12 months to make as much dosh as you can, simple trading and arcade elements, lots of fun.

How would we score Archon? Pretty sure I can still win against the computer but wouldn't we need some kind of scoring system counting figures still on the board at the end?

Something like that - If it wins we'll have various challenges to complete for a fixed ammount of points each

One idea was to have timed games and you post how many minutes it took for you to win. It would mean the computer is somewhat predictable in its moves so games take roughly as long. Counting remaining pieces could be another way to do it.

 

If we play M.U.L.E, can we post scores both in the regular HSC and in the long running M.U.L.E thread? As for bonus games if required, sometimes it is said that Kaiser by Ariolasoft is the German answer to M.U.L.E. I'm not quite as sure after trying an English speaking version on the C64 a couple of years ago, I found it more like an advanced form of Lemonade Stand than having much in common with M.U.L.E. Since Kaiser doesn't seem to exist in the English translation on the Atari, I suppose it is not meaningful to play in the HSC except for those who are speaking German.
