Swami
I just saw that hyperkin has introduced a true optical version of the SNES mouse, so maybe retro-commerce is delving into 1990's console mouse territory. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0734BCWS1/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me= The last few years have also seen adapters of fair-to-meh performance for using 21st century USB mice on Atari, Amiga and Commodore 64/128 computers, in the latter case in 1350 and 1351 mode. I was not thrilled with the TOM rev2 performance on my XEGS or 800XL and the firmware updater is very glitchy. I have just recenently received or ordered the next two as well, the MkIV and MCR, but have not tested them. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Best-Amiga-Atari-XE-XL-ST-C64-C128-Mouse-Gamepad-Joystick-USB-adapter-TOM-Rev2/231881853423?epid=870946389&hash=item35fd3c49ef:g:rXAAAOSwr7ZW6~aI https://www.ebay.com/itm/The-New-MKIV-Amiga-Atari-USB-mouse-adapter-converter-with-mode-switch-jumpers/121413700949?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 in the latter case in 1350 and 1351 mode: http://melbourneconsolerepros.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_32&products_id=126&osCsid=6918b1a325f98adb16df46bb47e8d19d http://melbourneconsolerepros.com/product_info.php?products_id=136 Of course, none of these have anything to do with optical mice as playstation mouse or gamepad. Tanooki
Hah stupid hyperkin, the SNES mouse for fragging enemies. Good luck with that, DOOM doesn't use it and there's no other FPS games really to frag with. I guess you can frag a city in Civilization though, if clicking and watching a cloud go up and a number drop counts. Scary stuff.

CRTGAMER
I just saw that Hyperkin has introduced a true optical version of the SNES mouse, so maybe retro-commerce is delving into 1990's console mouse territory. https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Hyper-Click-Retro-super-nintendo/dp/B0734BCWS1 THANK YOU! I did not know this; placed an order online Walmart. SNES Doom does support the SNES Mouse! Posted a new Thread back on Racketboy: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SNES Hyperkin Laser Mouse - Not just Mario Paint The Nintendo ball mouse is okay, but why not upgrade to a clicky button laser accurate mouse? Blah Ha, Hyperkin makes one and at a decent price. There are actually quite a few SNES games that have a mouse option. Arkanoid will play even better with the laser upgrade! SNES Mouse Games https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_NES_Mouse List of compatible games The Super NES Mouse, sold as the Super Famicom Mouse (スーパーファミコンマウス Sūpā Famikon Mausu) in Japan, is a peripheral created by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was first released on July 14, 1992 in Japan and in other regions later that year. Originally designed for use with the game Mario Paint, the Super NES Mouse was sold in a bundle with the game and included a plastic mouse pad. Soon after its introduction, several other titles were released with the Mouse support. Although this device closely resembles and mimics the functionality of a two-button computer mouse, it was smaller than most computer mice of the time and had a significantly shorter cord than the standard Super NES controller. The Super NES Mouse was supported by many games during its lifetime, and even by the Super Game Boy accessory. Tanooki
Ehh? Doom on SNES uses the mouse? I can't see that working out well. Pick up and drop/push it repeatedly to move? Only have 2 buttons so you'll need those for fire and open/push which still makes me wonder how to switch weapons. I've got to look that up.
