I told the seller of that chip in LA that it didn't work that I'm not registering anything on it he said sorry about that we did drop it, I said I don't know about the drop but I know one thing it was sitting on a piece of Styrofoam instead of conductive foam and it was an open package. He told me sorry I'll send you two of them unopened in the tube. so I think that's my problem it was just a bad chip, I should have gotten at least memory read and write out of it. +TheBF
Big Oops by me GDMike. I gave you a bad "GDSTART" file I changed my own DSK2 to start on another project and I got the same error as you! My system has the fonts on dsk2 most of the time. The start file says: S" DSK2.FONT0230" LOAD-FONT ( See the problem) You didn't have a font file on DSK2. because I didn't tell you to put one there. This attached zip file has the corrected START file and the FONT0230 file. Please fit those onto your DSK1. and you should be ready to go. I you don't have room for the FONT file on DSK1. Then use the Editor and comment out the lines as I did below. (or just delete them) If TIPI can be renamed to DSK1. (I know nothing about it) then this should run off TIPI. At least it was briefly tested once. \ V2.2 START file loads ISO Core, IF/THEN and LOOPS \ S" DSK1.ISOLOOPS" INCLUDED S" DSK1.SYSTEM" INCLUDED NEEDS MARKER FROM DSK1.MARKER \ MARKER RECLAIM \ NEEDS LOAD-FONT FROM DSK1.LOADSAVE \ CR S" DSK1.FONT0230" 2DUP TYPE LOAD-FONT \ CR .( Removing LOADSAVE ) RECLAIM HEX 17 7 VWTR CR RP0 40 + HERE - DECIMAL . ." bytes free" CR CR .( Ready) HEX NEWSTART.ZIP Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/275081-supercart-construction/page/12/#findComment-4684497 Share on other sites

GDMike
Just finished two new key commands for SNP. CTRLD and CTRLT These two commands will, IF the clock is already running on the screen, WILL insert the date or the time at the position of the cursor. But like I said, only if the clock is already running. So similar to F5 in windows notepad, this will also insert the date or the time depending on which key you hit into your document. this will not insert characters and push them to the right this will overwrite any characters that are sitting at the cursor position. I didn't install the battery holder since the chip has a built in battery. Of course I didn't install the switches either and the open positions work with the MK48T18, I might change R2 to reduce the brightness of the LED should I choose to install a LED. But it is so neat to have an extra 8K RAM in the old machine. Thank you Arcade Shopper. COM1 - TI-99 TTY VT 2020-06-15 19-32-49.mp4 Can you verify any of these components that you have or do not have installed? Here is a bare board with labeling. Ok, were going to leave off the battery holder on this AND the switches, right?
