zzip
If you couldnt use ACTION as a genre, what genre would you give Paperboy the game? It's one of those one-off early-game concepts (people tried all kinds of things to see what clicked). It takes two or more games to define a genre, though shooter makes sense in an abstract sense.
Lost Dragon
I've seen Atari coin ops like: Asteroids Battlezone Missile Command Described as "Games Of Marksmanship" as the writer felt they lacked the personality of titles like Pac Man. Atari Corp's Don Thomas has said he designed and coded a newspaper delivery game, whilst at his then employers,The Dallas Times Herald. So maybe there is no specific genre?. BIG D
I ended up going with Primary genre : Shooter Sub Genre : Comedic Simulator Im still not 100% on this but this format fits with the design of my book. I still have time till I get it printed to change this so I am still open to suggestions.
