zylon
This is a cool little Genesis 3 clone, or clone of a clone, depending on point of view. It has about 200 games built-in, mostly real Genesis titles. It is made of cheaper plastic, but not like paper. Controllers really aren't bad and turbo/slo-mo functions actually work. I borrowed a friend's real Gen3 for comparison purposes. Also have a Gen2 w/broken sound handy, lol. Sound on this clone is close, but just behind. There are a series of solder jumper points near the blob chip. The rightmost pair top and bottom change the clock speed when connected. Gameplay feels fine and bridging those points helps the sound some. Box is a nice repro of the Majesco release and actually still says that on back. Controller cords are about as long as originals, which is a nice surprise. Comes with composite out as only option. So far, the built-in games respond to the old cheat codes and it survived my playing Alien Storm. That puts it a slight notch above my last AT clone experience. Cart slot is fully functional. I never bought a 3 back then, but they are cute little suckers. ...and I really should fix that gen2 someday. lol Edited February 23, 2018 by zylon
