Flashback portable issues

hi again. decided, until i can snag a 2nd 2600 to mod, i would pick up a flashback portable. loaded the ROM's on an SD card, and many work as intended, though it seems games such as Custers Revenge, (which GF and I played extensively on the old TV) will not display properly while playing, but will show some of the screen when paused. any ideas on what the issue could be?

 

hope the knowledge base here can answer this for me

The plain rom doesn't work on the portable's imperfect emulator. Try the hacked Nukey Shay version. There's a link to it and many other fixed ROMs, as well as just about any question you can think of, in this thread.
