opcode
opcode What about the Lady Bug Arcade promoted on your site? That ever comes out? What are the differences between yours and the official release?I am only committed to DKA so far in 2020 in terms of CV support. After that we will see, depending on when we see SGM2/OMNI happening. Not sure if I have explained that here before, but I am running out of cartridge cases, and investing on a new tooling is something I would like to avoid if the timing with the SGM2/OMNI is right. And then there is the controller. We will see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It would have been nice to see the original title screen on the CV, but obviously it's not worth getting attacked by the big N's lawyers.

Jaymiester
Please don't take this this the wrong way, I'm a huge fan of yours and I've thoroughly everything you've created for the CV scene. Lot's of good times with your games! But as I recall, I joined Atari Age in 2009 specifically because of this game. Now it's June 2022 and it still hasn't been released. I can't even find the original thread mentioning the release info from back then. I'm not trying to be a dick, but the sad part about this is.... it's been sooooo long, I don't even care about it any more. I expect September 2022 to roll around and it will be pushed back yet again. I hope I'm wrong, but I guess time will tell. Disclaimer: I wrote this was with my good friend Maker's Mark. I will probably view things differently in the morning..... not sure about him tho.

Tkat5200
Literally signed up for their club in November of 2021 because they told me that was the only way I can get a copy of Donkey Kong. Well November has come and gone Donkey Kong is nowhere to be found. And I wasted money on a club membership that was useless. I'm really disappointed with how this was handled. I've waited since 2009 for this game it's ridiculous this is like Duke nukem but for ColecoVision Edited June 16, 2022 by Tkat5200

So you should have the newsletter. Basically chip shortage is an issue right now, since we can’t secure the logic we use with super game cartridges. To remedy that we will be releasing the digital ROM in the next few days, until the chip situation get back to normal. Digital ROMs are for Club members only.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

insertclevernamehere
The below sentences copied and pasted from the June newsletter have me concerned. "Unfortunately the global chip shortage is real. So far we have been unable to secure the chips we need to produce our physical cartridges. The situation is expected to improve next year though." Does this mean that the physical release delayed to September, that was specifically because of the chip shortage, has now been delayed to an unspecified date in 2023? I know the situation is out of your control, and making the ROM available is a nice gesture, but I personally have no interest in a digital copy. They (chip manufacturer) keeps pushing the lead time further. Now it is 2023, no specific date given. It is our best interest to get things back to normal. Our schedule is now just a train wreck.

phattyboombatty
Amazing game. Thank you so much Opcode for delivering, after so many hurdles. Patience has paid off! Now I must report what appears to be a bug: as soon as I get to the rivet La screen, I cannot collect the rivets on the right side of the screen. This prevents me from finishing the level and progressing in the game. I am playing the digital ROM in one-player mode on my AtariMax Ultimate SD using a modified F18a Adam computer.
