KLund1
I procured a box of Atari prototype IC’s. They were in an old moldy box. They are not in the best condition. One is missing a pin. Many have many bent pins, but look fixable. Some look new. I pulled all the IC’s out of the crumbling gray moldy anti-static pad. There were not in any particular order on the pad. I could not find much about most of them. I was told that the original person that had these, worked at Atari back in the good days. So I’d thought I should post them here for all to review, and comment. Left column with gold covers C0125052-10 PROTO 1978 C0125058-10 PROTO 1982 C012610A-10 PROTO 1981 x2 C012645-06 1979 C012654-01 1981 x2 Next column to the right C69007 C011208-05 C011222-08 1981 X2 C011227-07 1978 C011299B-03 (810?) The soldering of the pin is very professionally done. The other IC with it on the lad is C025953. This chip works with FREDDY. SO I think this might be a prototype of a FREDDY? Also in the box were about 15 of the items in the clear plastic bag. There is no writing on it and all the sockets are loose in the pin holes. What could this be? I tried to read the eprom's in my cheapo burner. The small one was readable, mostly “V” and “~” all over. The other two will not read. I would like to test some of these in a machine. I have an 800 bare. Just the PCB’s all connected not plastics at all. It is my 800 ‘test bench’ system. I also have several 600XL motherboards in both NTSC, and PAL. There good as they are all socketed. I might be able to read the ROM's if I new what part number to select in my burner. It may not have many of these older chips in it's library. I am new to this area of our hobby. I also have about the same number of IC’s for ST’s that I can’t ID. But most of those have rusted off pins. But I’ll post that later in the other forum.

+Nezgar
C011299B-03 is definitely 810 Revision B ROM - I recently acquired one as well http://atariage.com/forums/topic/279363-the-atari-810-revision-b-rom-has-finally-been-found-dumped/ 94132B Tandon part # matches the stock Roms (Rev L?) I have here on my desk, recently pulled from 1050's to install other upgrades. But mine say 2131, yours are 2124. There are at least 4 known production stock 1050 ROM's though.. KLund1
Anyone else have some input on these? I fired off a email to Curt V. I'm waiting a detailed reply. He thinks some might be game cart prototypes, or sample runs. Is there any list of Atari cart IC part numbers?
shoestring
Not sure what the Toshiba TMM2016AP is doing there That's just a standard 16kb 6116/2128 SRAM Commodore used in their floppy drives and a lot of Arcade games used.
Kr0tki
Is there any list of Atari cart IC part numbers? Yes there is - although not complete. See the first external link at the bottom of this page.
Level42
The vast majority of these are EPROMS and ROMS. Covering the windows is a good idea if you keep them out of the box.....I've seen uncovered EPROMs in arcade machines of 30 years without a problem....but very little sunlight comes into closed arcade cabs Would't be surprised if most of them are games or other cartridge software. KLund1
Kr0tki - That list was Very helpful! Most are 2600 games. But definitely not all. Here is the updated list with some of the other IC's not shown above. The top list is where I am having the most trouble identifying what they, what they do, or what system they go in. The second list I have found what they are. But some I do not know what they are for. Those are marked with a *. The last list is all the 2600/5200 games. I have put the IC's in numerically organized AS-pads. see pics. There are several eproms. I can read most of them. I could upload the BIN's if someone(s) would like to translate/ID the code. The left side of the pad with the large IC's I already know are ANTIC's, POKY's, GTIS, CTIA, PIA's (PAL & NTSC) The last pads are all ST IC's 12 6 82 COMBO 40 PIN hand written label rusted and or missing pins9128C-1015 Qual Samples x2 ???
