Ikrananka
Quite a few years back I picked up a beat up and very dirty O2 for cheap from a local seller on Kijiji (including over a dozen games). It's only now that I've gotten round to actually trying this unit out. While the console functions, i.e. with a cart I get the SELECT GAME screen and can start and play a game, unfortunately the colours are wrong. The picture below gives a good idea of what I mean. As you can see there is no yellow or red displayed. I have checked the voltages at the mainboard from the original power supply and get 13.6VAC when the console is off, and this drops to around 12.0VAC when it is turned on. I'm guessing this is okay as the power supply states 11.5VAC output - am I correct? I have also tried two different RF cables with no difference. Note that this unit has no video mods (or any other mods) and so I'm setting this up to my TV using RF. I may do a video mod to this unit later but would at least like to get the colours working correctly via RF beforehand. I plan on reseating the two socketed chips in the mainboard and replacing all of the electrolytic caps but have low confidence that this will make any difference. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this are gratefully received.
