+OLD CS1
Stumbled across this tonight. https://www.applefritter.com/content/compute-magazine-type-programs I was looking for Hickory, Dickory, Dock as I based my TI-99/4A conversion upon the Apple 2 screen in the original COMPUTE! article.
[ZK]
WOW! Huge thanks Captain Breakout for putting the COMPUTE! type-in games together. When I was a kid I typed in Powerball and it never worked (which seems impossible since there's a checksum) and for years I've been trying to figure out an easy way to type it in again. Now I don't have to! I downloaded the disk image and was able to run it in the ApplIIjs emulator online. This is so great! Thank you again!
CaptainBreakout
Sure! This was a passion of mine too. Thanks for reviving the thread. There's a few I've been meaning to make dsk images of (and do the title screens and instructions and all that) and this might prompt me to get started again.
Frozone212
When canyon runner says to hit both keys in Applewin, what do i press? The emulator doesn't have the ability to redefine keys and I primarily use arrows or wasd
Iamgroot
The only time an Apple II can recognize 2 keypresses at the same time is with the CONTROL, OPEN-APPLE, CLOSED-APPLE keys, in which you hold one of these keys, or a combination of these keys down and tap an alpha character. The Usotsuki
And pretty much every emulator is going to implement the Apple keys as left and right Alt.

Hot dog! Somehow I missed this one... thanks for pointing it out (and the link too -that was fun)! I'll type it in and release it this week if I can. It looks pretty short. Keatah
I always liked in-depth reviews of new systems. Was like experiencing the future of computing.
Iamgroot
That's the trouble with getting old. We have seen everything, heard everything and now we know everything. That and anything new coming out in new technology, no matter how complicated, we understand how it works instantly. bradhig1
sadly no sound with the last warrior. Not the first time as there are several Compute games for Apple with no sound.
